Tomato Brothers Cleveland (My very first blog)

Welcome,
Well I am very excited to start this blog and look forward to sharing it with other avid foodies.

Tomato Brothers

The Dining Experience

It was a Saturday night and per usual we had left the decision of where to take the family for dinner to the last second.  Sizzler Cleveland was our first stop, but after a cold, 20 min wait in the car park, a desperate phone call to Tomato Brothers was made and a table booked.  Five minutes later we were warmly welcomed and seated, ready to begin our night.

Ready for a delicious meal our eyes focused on the loaded menu full of an array of wood oven pizza's and pastas. Our entrees included the garlic pizza, a cal- zone and dips. Choosing the cheese and garlic option for the cal- zone, I knew it would be a diet free weekend. The pizza breads arrived promptly and were hot and well presented. The dips were fresh, plentiful and really complemented the pizza breads and the cheese oozing cal-zone.

For mains we chose the recommended Gourmet Supreme, Salmon Rushdie and Garlic Prawn Pizza. The family verdict was happy with price, appearance and the chefs generosity with the toppings.

Tasting went a little different........

The Garlic Prawn pizza left much to be desired. The prawns were obviously bought frozen and tasted more of rubber than the fresh, juicy experience you expect from a fresh prawn. It was disappointing for my husband who loves a good prawn pizza. But apart from this hick up the pizzas were tasty.

Now on to the best part, dessert and coffee! We choose a store made pavlova and toffee nut waffle served with ice cream and cream.

Desserts $7.95

As you can see the desserts are beautiful! They were fresh, filling and really delicious. I choose the waffles and couldn't finish all of it, so I recommend sharing. The sauce was the highlight of the evening for me... I am a sucker for toffee. We then got a complimentary dessert from the kitchen, which my father in law devoured with great delight. The coffee was made divinely. It was hot, smooth tasting and creamy.

So there we have it, a great family night out with only a few negatives Tomato Brothers is definitely value for your dough.
